The original Westfield Farm is located in Bishop Burton,  a small village in East Yorkshire, U.K.  That farm has been merged with Cold Harbour Farm, another family farm which adjoined Westfield Farm.

Bishop Burton has a long standing connection with equestrian events. The village pub, The Altisidora, is named after a race horse owned by the Squire of the Estate, that won the St. Ledger Race at Doncaster. During the latter half of the 20th century, it was home to trainer Trevor Banks and his rider Mike Saywell, who won many international level show jumping events and represented Great Britain twice in the Olympics. Today, Bishop Burton is home to some excellent livery stables and the college located in Bishop Burton is held in high esteem for courses in equestrian management and horsemanship, as well as British Eventing Affiliated Competitions.
